Terms of Service for RetroEmu

Effective Date: July 8, 2026

Welcome to RetroEmu ("the Application"). By accessing or using this browser-based interface, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Description of Service

RetroEmu is a serverless, browser-based emulator frontend. The Application provides an interface to execute emulation locally in your browser using third-party web components. The Application does not host, distribute, or provide any digital game files (ROMs), console BIOS files, or copyrighted materials.

2. User Content and Google Drive Integration

The Application utilizes the Google Drive API and Google Picker to stream user-provided files directly from your personal cloud storage into local browser memory. You retain absolute ownership and responsibility for all files you choose to connect to the Application. You agree that you will only upload and run digital assets that you legally own or have explicit permission to use.

3. Intellectual Property and Copyrights

RetroEmu respects the intellectual property rights of others. Because the Application holds a absolute zero-server file architecture, no copyrighted game assets ever pass through or reside on our infrastructure. If you use this Application, you are entirely responsible for complying with local copyright regulations regarding emulation software and digital backups.

4. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the emulator will be error-free, compatible with every game file, or uninterrupted. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders of RetroEmu be liable for any data loss, Google Drive discrepancies, or damages arising from the use of this interface.

5. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be updated directly on this page with an adjusted effective date. Continued use of the Application following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
